Woollahra Library at Double Bay

If you're looking for a space to run a meeting or professional workshop, or if you have an activity which is open to the public and enhances community well-being, the Woollahra Library at Double Bay spaces may be for you. Woollahra Library at Double Bay, conveniently located within the Double Bay shopping precinct, is fully accessible with a large lift and within easy access to car parking and public transport.

The following spaces are available to hire at Woollahra Library at Double Bay:

  • Event Space (up to 27 people under the 4 square metre rule)
  • Tech Room (up to 8 people under the 4 square metre rule)
  • Study Rooms (2 people under the 4 square metre rule)

Paddington Library

The Paddington Library meeting rooms are suitable for study sessions, meetings and training sessions for small groups.

The following spaces are available to hire at Paddington Library:

  • Meeting Room (1 person people under the 4 square metre rule)

The Woollahra Libraries spaces are not suitable for private social functions or parties, or regular weekly recreational activities such as exercise or art classes. Check the terms and conditions and Response to COVID-19 Addendum to see if your event is suitable.

Did you know?

Woollahra Council also has a number of venues for hire for private social function, parties, meetings or regular recreational activities.

Event Space

Located near the entrance on Level 1, this is the largest event space available, and can be partitioned into 2 smaller rooms.

27 under the 4 square metre rule (or 12 in Space A and 50 in Space B).

Suitability
Larger events, launches, conferences, seminars, workshops.

  • kitchenette (refrigerator, microwave, stovetop, oven, dishwasher and crockery/glasses)

Standard Woollahra Library at Double Bay opening hours:
Mon to Fri: 9am – 8pm, Sat and Sun: 10am – 4pm.

Any use outside of these hours is by negotiation.

Three group study rooms are located on level three. These rooms can be booked by 2 to 3 people for up to two hours per day per group.

Study sessions, meetings and training sessions.

Equipment
1 room has a short throw projector and smart board and 1 room has a screen display allowing presentations and collaborative work.

Group Study rooms are available during standard Woollahra Library at Double Bay opening hours:
Mon to Fri: 9am – 8pm, Sat and Sun: 10am – 4pm.

Mon to Tue: 9.30am – 6.00pm, Wed: 12.00pm - 8.00pm, Thu to Fri: 9.30am - 6.00pm, Sat and Sun: 10am – 4pm.
