Woollahra Library at Double Bay

If you're looking for a space to run a meeting or professional workshop, or if you have an activity which is open to the public and enhances community well-being, the Woollahra Library at Double Bay spaces may be for you. The Woollahra Library at Double Bay, conveniently located within the Double Bay shopping precinct, is fully accessible with a large lift and within easy access to car parking and public transport.

The following spaces are available to hire at Woollahra Library at Double Bay:

Paddington Library

The Paddington Library meeting rooms are suitable for study sessions, meetings and training sessions for small groups.

The following spaces are available to hire at Paddington Library:

The Woollahra Libraries spaces are not suitable for private social functions or parties, or regular weekly recreational activities such as exercise or art classes. Check the terms and conditions to see if your event is suitable.

Did you know?

Woollahra Council also has a number of venues for hire for private social function, parties, meetings or regular recreational activities.

Event Space

Located near the entrance on Level 1, this is the largest event/exhibition space available, and can be partitioned into 2 smaller rooms.

100 (or 2 rooms each seating up to 50 people).

Larger events, launches, exhibitions, conferences, seminars, workshops.

  • AV system (microphones and amplification/speakers, video and audio recording capability, digital projector and screens, hearing loop)

  • kitchenette (refrigerator, microwave, stovetop, oven, dishwasher and crockery/glasses for up to 100 people)

Hiring times
Standard Woollahra Library at Double Bay opening hours:
Mon to Fri: 9am – 8pm, Sat and Sun: 10am – 4pm.

Any use outside of these hours is by negotiation.

1 room has a short throw projector and smart board and 1 room has a screen display allowing presentations and collaborative work.

Mon to Fri: 9am – 8pm, Sat and Sun: 10am – 4pm.

Cost
Free within Library opening hours, charges may apply outside these hours to cover additional costs.
