Halls and venues

In the New Year we’re launching a new online booking system for Venue hire. As we transition to the improved system from 15 December to early January 2026, new booking requests can be made via our online booking enquiry form. Council will close from 25 December until 2 January, and we will attend to all enquiries submitted during this time when we re-open. Thank you for your patience during this time.

Council-managed venues

Council has a range of halls and venues for hire. These are located across the municipality and are suitable for recreational and community activities, children's parties and private functions.

The Bay Room

1st Floor Cosmopolitan Centre, 2-22 Knox St, Double Bay 2028

The Bay Room situated in the heart of Double Bay is a popular venue for meetings, conferences, workshops, seminars and social gatherings.

Canonbury Cottage

159 Darling Point Rd, Darling Point 2027

On weekends Canonbury Cottage is available for social gatherings and weddings. During the week the Cottage is available for social events, recreational activities and community groups.

Cooper Park Community Hall

12 Cooper Park Rd, Bellevue Hill 2023

Cooper Park Community Hall is a perfect venue for social events, recreational activities and community groups. There is a playground area at the rear of the venue.

The Cultural Hub

548 New South Head Rd, Double Bay 2028

Situated at Woollahra Gallery, this venue is perfect for art classes, workshops, meetings and discussion groups, as well as low impact recreation use such as yoga, pilates, drama and language groups.

Use our online booking system to check availability and make a booking for Cooper Park, The Gunyah, Rose Bay Cottage, Vaucluse Bowling Club & Community Facility and Sherbrooke Hall. We will then contact you within 2 working days to confirm your details. For all other venues, please email venuehire@woollahra.nsw.gov.au or call 9391 7170.
