Woollahra Library at Double Bay offers a Bambu X1 Carbon 3D printer for use by library members. If you are not currently a library member, bring your ID to any branch to join for free.
You can print your 3D model with assistance from library staff. Please complete the booking form and we will get back to you in 2-3 business days to arrange a 3D printing appointment. If your 3D print job is urgent, please call the library on 02 9391 7100 and ask to talk to the Systems Team. We may be able to accommodate your request depending on the current workload.
The 3D Printing User Guide(PDF, 2MB) provides a step-by-step introduction for beginners. However, you are encouraged to attend our free Intro to 3D Printing class, held every second month, before using the printer. The printer is designed for independent use, so only limited assistance can be provided by staff. Advanced 3D printing workshops on specific topics are also held every two months. View upcoming sessions on our Technology Workshops page or call 02 9391 7100.

How it Works
Submit the booking form and a member of the Systems Team will respond to your request within 2-3 business days. The 3D printer is available for use Monday to Friday, by appointment.
After you have confirmed a date and time, you will be met onsite by a member of the Systems Team. Log in to the 3D Printer PC and slice your design using Bambu Studio software. Before printing, you must pay for the cost of printing and arrange a pickup time.
If you have attended the Intro to 3D Printing class, you are entitled to one free 3D printing session. Please confirm this at the time of your appointment.
A maximum of 7 hours of print time is allowed per person. All printing must be completed before library closing time.
