Enrolment

If you would like to be considered for a place in 2027 and beyond, please join our waitlist.

Re-enrolment for the following year commences in June when we ascertain which children will return and who will leave to go to school. Younger siblings of children who have attended the Preschool in prior years are given some priority as stipulated in the Admissions Policy. To be eligible, parents of siblings must still complete a Waitlist Application Form from birth. The policy acknowledges your long-standing involvement with the Preschool and provides a sense of community membership for you and your children.

Fees and charges

Woollahra Preschool has remained very proudly a cost recovery provider of quality education for more than 75 years. Our fees are designed to cover the operational costs of delivering the service and to ensure Woollahra Municipal Council can continue delivering this service for many years to come.

Any surplus we may make is reinvested into our staff, continually improving the quality of our service, and ensuring our long-term sustainability. Woollahra Municipal Council does not distribute profits to shareholders or send them offshore.

We are a Registered Childcare Provider with the Family Assistance Office but not an Approved Childcare Provider, which means our families are not eligible for the Childcare Subsidy (CCS).

Maximise your Start Strong fee relief at Woollahra Preschool

This service is a recipient of funding under the NSW Department of Education’s Start Strong for Community Preschools program and fee relief is available for families of eligible children. This program provides fee relief funding of up to $4,347 per eligible child to deliver affordable quality preschool education for 3 to 5 year old children.

Children from priority cohorts - including Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander backgrounds, families holding a Health Care Card or Pensioner Concession Card, or those with disability or additional needs - are eligible for even lower fees (equity fee).

Families can receive fee relief for 15 hours per week (2 days). However, this relief can only be applied to one service. If you’ve declared it elsewhere, fees without Start Strong fee relief will apply.

Contact our preschool to discuss the fee that applies to you to maximise your Start Strong fee relief funding.

(Fees and Charges applicable until 30 June 2026.)

Daily fees for 2025/2026 at Woollahra Preschool

This fee relief funding is for children who:

  • Turn 3 or 4 years of age by 31 July of the preschool year, and
  • Are enrolled in a preschool program for 15 hours per week. The '15 hours' is usually met by enrolling in two 7.5-hour days per week.

Start Strong fee relief can only be accessed at one service, either a preschool or long day care service. This ensures as many children as possible can access affordable early childhood education.

To be eligible for Start Strong fee relief funding, the NSW Department of Education requires parents to sign the ‘Fee Relief Declaration and Consent form’ at the time of enrolment, consenting to apply the Start Strong fee relief funding to preschool fees.
