National Tree Day
Woollahra Council is proud to support National Tree Day each year, in partnership with Planet Ark.
2026 planting day at Cooper Park
Our 2026 National Tree Day event was a great success with 168 volunteers helping to plant 2,000 native shrubs and seedlings at Cooper Park, along with 23 more established trees. Our planting included local native trees such as banksias, red bloodwood, lilly pilly, Christmas bush and red mahogany, along with local wildflowers such as wattles, croweas, native peas and Australian indigo.
Together we have helped restore an important slice of remnant bushland, helping to extend the habitat corridor for small birds and other wildlife.
Our next tree day event will be Sunday 25 July 2027
