About Us

Woollahra Preschool provides a strong bridge between home and school. We create a safe, stimulating and nurturing environment where childhood is celebrated, and children are facilitated to reach their maximum potential.
Our Preschool is a 4-unit community-based cost recovery service provided by Woollahra Municipal Council. We cater for 80 children per day, offering early childhood education for 160 children in the 3-6 year old age group over a week.
An integral part of the community since 1951, we are proud of our strong reputation of providing a high quality preschool education tailored to each child’s interests and strengths in collaboration with families.
Our highly experienced and dedicated teachers and educators build strong, trusting relationships with each child and their family, fostering a sense of belonging, confidence and interest in learning.
Situated on the first floor and ground floor of the Hugh Latimer Building in Double Bay, our preschool features spacious, light-filled indoor areas and beautiful expansive playground with a host of opportunities to engage with nature.
We are committed to fostering a safe, respectful, nurturing, and stimulating environment where the child’s dignity and rights are preserved at all times.
We are focused on maximising each child’s sense of wellbeing and acquisition of skills for life, learning and wellbeing (Belonging, Being and Becoming). We believe in supporting each child's unique potential through play-based learning, encouraging independence and curiosity while promoting social-emotional growth in partnership with their families.
