Parking fines
All parking fines issued by Council are administered by Revenue NSW (formerly the State Debt Recovery Office).
To pay a fine, request the review of a fine or for any further information about the collection and processing of fines, visit Revenue NSW - Fines and fees.
Parking Fines Reporting
In accordance with the Fines Amendment (Parking Fines) Act 2024 and the Fines Amendment (Parking Fines) Regulation 2025, Wooollahra Council is required to report on parking fines issued each quarter.
These reports are detailed below.
Why are we reporting parking fines?
The NSW Government’s reforms to the parking fine system, which came into effect on 1 July 2025, require councils to:
- Attach a parking fine or notification to the vehicle (except in limited circumstances).
- Provide photographic evidence of the offence to Revenue NSW.
- Issue fines within seven days of the offence if no notification was attached.
- Publicly report data on parking fines issued.
These changes aim to restore fairness and transparency to the parking fine system across NSW.
