Woollahra Council Plaque Scheme

PlaqueSchemeBanner.jpg

The Woollahra Council Plaque Scheme recognises and honours remarkable individuals or events that have contributed significantly to the history and culture of our local area. Whether it’s the home of a famous resident, the site of a key historical event, or a location tied to an exceptional achievement, the Plaque Scheme ensures these stories are celebrated and remembered.

With nearly 50 plaques already unveiled, this initiative continues to connect the community with Woollahra’s rich heritage. Each plaque represents an important chapter in our local story, highlighting the people and events that have shaped Woollahra and Australia.

Nominate a person or event

New plaques are added through community nominations, which are then carefully assessed against selection criteria and researched by a Local History Librarian. If you know of a person or event that deserves recognition, we want to hear from you!
