Woollahra Libraries is seeking a Sydney-based artist to design and paint an original artwork for our new Watsons Bay Street Library.

What we’re looking for
Express your interest
Email comminfo@woollahra.nsw.gov.au with:
- Your ABN or Statement by Supplier
- A quote for the cost of design, materials and labour, including painting of the Street Library
- A link to your portfolio or 1–2 recent work samples attached as PDF or PNG files
- A short introduction and details of any relevant experience
Expressions of interest will be reviewed as they are received.
Commission, usage and timelines
- A commission fee will be provided and confirmed once the brief and scope have been discussed and agreed with the selected artist
- The artwork may be used by Woollahra Libraries to promote the Street Library and Watsons Bay Library services
- Production timelines will be negotiated with the selected artist
- The Street Library will be delivered to the artist’s studio for painting, unless the proposal includes a community workshop involving painting the Street Library onsite at Watsons Bay Library
- Expressions of interest close Wednesday 30 September 2026, or earlier if the commission is filled
Selection
Expressions of interest will be assessed based on artistic style, suitability for purpose, budget, and alignment with Woollahra Libraries’ brand and community.
