Temporary closure of Woollahra Libraries

Woollahra Library at Double Bay, Paddington Library and Watsons Bay Library are temporarily closed to help protect our community from the spread of the coronavirus (COVID-19).

All books currently on loan will be extended until 1 May. We will not be charging any late fees during this time. We encourage you to stay home.

All our events are currently suspended. If you have registered to attend an event you will receive notification via an email or phone call. Any purchased tickets will be refunded.

We know our libraries are a much loved part of our community, and we want you to know there are a number of ways you can stay connected to our libraries during this time of physical distancing.

Use your library membership and enjoy our free online resources. You can download or stream a great range of eBooks, eAudiobooks, eFilms, eMusic and eMagazines by logging in with your member number and password.

Book a computer

All our libraries offer free access to computers with internet access and popular software. Woollahra Library at Double Bay also now offers both PC and Apple iMacs.

Book a space

Woollahra Library at Double Bay now offers event and meeting spaces suitable for a variety of activities:

  • Event Space - our largest space for events and exhibitions up to 100 people
  • Tech Room - fitted out with equipment for group sessions up to 13 people
  • Study Rooms - small group study rooms for 2 to 8 people

Hire fees apply and use of these spaces are subject to the following conditions of hire.

Book a 3D printer

Woollahra Library at Double Bay offers a 3D printer for members.  This service 3D is available Monday to Friday, during two time slots:

  • 10am - 11am
  • 2pm - 3pm

Customers should arrive no later than 10 minutes after the beginning of their session. During the hour allowed for the session customers are expected to prepare the job for printing using Cubicreator software and start the print job. A staff member will estimate when the job will be ready for pick up.

A maximum of 3 hours of print time will be allowed per person per day. This may be relaxed in off-peak periods at the discretion of staff, subject to availability. Customers with jobs requiring more than 3 hours print time are encouraged to book into 2pm sessions.
