Girl at tree planting

Join us on Sunday 31 July at Christison Park.

Tree Day is an opportunity to do something positive for your local environment, reconnect with nature and your community.

We will plant a range of locally native plants at this ocean foreshore site to beautify the park and extend the habitat corridor for small birds and other wildlife. Everyone is welcome! After your planting, enjoy some snacks and let the kids join our interactive native wildlife program.

Register here.

2020 Event

Due to COVID-19 our planned 2020 tree planting event at Signal Hill Reserve was cancelled. Our Council staff were on-site on Tuesday 28 July to plant the 1300 native seedlings and continue to beautify the park and extend the habitat corridor for small birds and other wildlife.

Community Planting National Tree Day 2018Over 1,300 native seedlings were planted by community volunteers on Sunday 29 July at Lighthouse Reserve, Vaucluse. Thanks to the efforts of well over 100 volunteers these plants will help to beautify our local park whilst creating a habitat corridor for small birds and other wildlife.

The children who joined us also enjoyed an interactive native wildlife program, with the opportunity to learn more about ring-tailed possums, tree frogs, goannas, and pythons.
