Help us plan for Woollahra’s future
We've drafted some important plans which set our goals for the next 10 years, priority areas for the next four years and actions for the upcoming financial year, including our budget, fees and charges.
We developed these important documents using community feedback, and we'd like to hear your thoughts prior to finalising the plans in June.
You can have your say online at a special Webinar on Tuesday 13 May from 6pm-7pm or by filling out a simple survey anytime before Wednesday 28 May at Your Say Woollahra.
Domestic and family violence education and support
Domestic and family violence can have a devastating impact on individuals, families and communities.
Woollahra Council is committed to addressing this issue and we are holding a series of free information sessions on understanding abuse and how to get help.
The Understanding Systems Abuse session on Thursday 15 May will cover existing systems which can be leveraged to perpetrate abuse.
Booking is essential, so please visit dvsupport for further details and to reserve your spot.
Double Vision Expressions of Interest
‘Double Vision’ is a digital public art project run by Woollahra Council. The digital screen, installed under the escalators to the Woollahra Library at Kiaora Place in Double Bay, features a range of video or other screen-based artworks from different artists.
We are seeking expressions of interest from artists for the next exhibition cycle from October 2025 to October 2026. Each artwork exhibition will be on view for a period of three months. Expressions of Interest will close on Friday 30 May. Visit Double Vision for further information.

Recognition for Peter Poland
Woollahra Council has resolved to formally recognise the valuable contribution Peter Poland OAM made to the preservation and protection of history and heritage in the Woollahra Local Government Area following his death in February aged 92.
A memorial plaque will be placed on a bench seat to be included as part of upcoming renovations and native plantings on the Woollahra Library balcony in Double Bay.
Along with his wife June, Peter collaborated with Council on many important local history initiatives, including saving Strickland House as a public asset. Their work with the Woollahra History and Heritage Society also helped to produced heritage listings for Nielsen Park, the Hermitage Walk, Rushcutters Bay Park and the Rose Bay Sea Wall and Promenade.
I would like to extend my condolences to Peter’s family and friends, and acknowledge the magnitude of his life’s work, commitment and legacy.
Mother’s Day
Wishing all of the wonderful mothers in the Woollahra community a very happy Mother’s Day this Sunday.
