Wadhangarii: a new public artwork in Double Bay

Woollahra Mayor Sarah Swan and artist Penny Evans has unveiled a new public artwork in Bay Street, Double Bay. Wadhangarii, meaning Coastal Banksia in the language of the Dharawal People, was created by First Nations artist Penny Evans (pictured with the sculpture).

We’re improving water quality in Sydney Harbour and reducing the amount of litter ending up on Rose Bay Beach with the installation of a new Gross Pollutant Trap - a large device that sits inside an existing stormwater pipeline and filters out debris.
