Planning proposal for 80-84 and 90 New South Head Road, Edgecliff

Summary

The planning proposal amended the planning controls that apply to the land under Woollahra Local Environmental Plan 2014 as follows:

  • increase the maximum floor space ratio (FSR) from 1.5:1 to 2.9:1
  • increase the maximum building height from 14.5m on 80-84 New South Head Road and 20.5m on 90 New South Head Road to 23.5m over the entire site.

In summary, the planning proposal increased the height and FSR controls to allow a building up to seven storeys to be constructed on the site. The MU1 Mixed Use zoning (formerly B4 Mixed Use zoning) was retained.

On 10 October 2016, the Council considered the recommendation of the UPC and resolved in part:

THAT Council proceed with the planning proposal for 80-84 and 90 New South Head Road, Edgecliff to Woollahra Local Environmental Plan 2014 as exhibited.

The amended planing controls came into effect when the Woollahra Local Environmental Plan 2014 (Amendment No 5) was notified on the NSW Legislation website on Friday 25 November 2016.
