Youth Photo Prize call for entries

The Woollahra Youth Photographic Award and Short Film Prize is open for entries for another year!

I was blown away by the talent and skill of the entries last year and am looking forward to seeing what local student photographers and filmmakers have to offer in 2025, and to having their works recognised and exhibited at our beautiful Woollahra Gallery at Redleaf.

There are cash prizes totalling more than $2,000 on offer to the winners in Junior, Senior, Film, Mayor’s Choice and People's Choice categories.

Entries will be exhibited at the Gallery from 27 August to 14 September.
Visit Woollahra Gallery to enter before 4 July.

Meet your Double Bay Ward Councillors

Do you live or work in the Double Bay Ward? Our special session on Tuesday 27 May, 6pm-7:30pm at Woollahra Council Chambers in Double Bay is the perfect opportunity to meet your Ward Councillors and discuss key issues or concerns.

If you would like to attend, please RSVP and submit a question if you would like to ask one by 12pm, 23 May at Your Say Woollahra

Recycle It Saturday

Along with Waverley and City of Sydney Councils, we are hosting Recycle It Saturday – a free drive-in, drop-off event this Saturday 24 May, 9am-3pm at Alexandra Canal Depot, 67C Bourke Road, Alexandria – where you can bring a range of items for recycling that can’t go into your recycling bin at home.

Every item you drop off is a valuable resource diverted from landfill that can be given a second life.

For more information on what you can and cannot bring visit rubbish and recycling.

Bellevue Hill Public School Centenary

Join me at Bellevue Hill Public School this Sunday 25 May to help celebrate 100 years of educational excellence at its Centenary Open Day.

There’ll be rides, games, face painting, a DJ, and delicious food and drinks between 10am and 5pm, and an opportunity to explore the school's rich history through photographs, stories and artefacts spanning a century of education, collated with the assistance of a Woollahra Council grant.

Visit Bellevue Hill Public School for further details.
