School Holiday Fun Extreme Manga Drawing Workshop (ages 13-18)

Join illustrator and graphic designer Matthew Lin for a fun and practical workshop on extreme anime and manga character reactions.

In this extremely fun workshop, we'll be looking at how exaggeration and comedic illustration is used to emphasise and convey emotions, changes in tone and the effects on story.

We'll also be covering other animation / cartoon techniques such as bending, pushing and pulling and shape language.

This workshop is ideal for beginner and intermediate-level artists, anime fans, manga readers, or anyone wanting to develop their drawing skills and try something new.

All materials will be provided.

About the facilitator:

Matthew is a graphic designer and illustrator with over 30 years experience in publishing (Australia and USA), advertising and toy design (McDonald's Happy Meal Toys, promotional toys for Nestlé and Disney)!

He loves to share his ways of drawing be it, Animé / Manga Characters, Strange Creatures, Pokémon, Superheroes, Typography, Cartoon Characters and more!

Matthew will share techniques and short cuts for drawing in various styles/genrés with step-by-step instructions in fun and easy workshops! Suitable for the beginner, intermediate or those that may want to brush up on their skills or perhaps try a different approach!
