Collins Avenue, Rose Bay - Installation New Gross Pollutant Trap

3 July 2025 - Project Update -The Gross Pollutant Trap (GPT) has now been installed. Associated kerb and gutters repairs are currently being finalised. Resheeting of the asphalt road surface at Collins Avenue will occur in the coming weeks, exact date TBC. 

As part of Woollahra Council’s 2024/25 Infrastructure Works Program, Council will be installing a Gross Pollutant Trap (GPT) at Collins Avenue, Rose Bay, in front of the laneway opposite Percival Park.

The GPT will capture and remove pollutants from the existing underground stormwater pipeline, which will help to keep Rose Bay Beach and Sydney Harbour cleaner. Once installed, the GPT will not be visible.

The work is scheduled to begin in autumn, starting Monday 7 April 2025. It is expected to take approximately 4-6 weeks to complete (weather permitting). The works will be carried out between 7am - 5pm, Monday to Friday.

Following the completion of the GPT installation, Council will also renew the asphalt road pavement at Collins Avenue. Separate notifications and site signage will provide further details on this work.
