Commemorating October 7
Two years on from the horrific events of October 7, I am proud to announce the commissioning of a new sculpture in Christison Park, Vaucluse. Given the impacts of recent events on our communities, I am proud that Woollahra Council initiated this joint commemorative artwork with Waverley Council.
The sculpture will speak to the pain of our community following the events of that day, and the months which followed, which have irreparably changed the lives of so many. In Them We See Ourselves will be an enduring testament to resilience and harmony.
Woollahra Fashion and Lifestyle Day
October is Small Business Month and we are celebrating by heading to the Woollahra Fashion and Lifestyle Day on Thursday 16 October! The day’s major event will be a fashion show at the Woollahra Hotel featuring Queen Street’s premier boutiques including Moss & Spy, Aquel, Reads of Woollahra, Cabel Melbourne, MJ Bale, Riada Concept, Matthew Ely Jewellery and children’s fashion from The Monogram Mode.
Highlights also include a luncheon at Bistro Moncur with Maureen Jordan from Harper’s Bazaar Australia and talks from Anne Schofield AM, Tim Olsen and Peter Switzer, plus live music, in-store experiences and much more. Woollahra Council is very proud to support this initiative.
