Response to the state-led rezoning of Edgecliff and the proposed Woollahra Station

At our meeting on 24 September 2025, Council resolved to continue our advocacy to the NSW Government on best possible outcomes from the state-led rezoning of Edgecliff and Woollahra and the proposed Woollahra Station.

We are allocating resources to be used for a range of Council-led initiatives, studies, audits and reviews to assess the potential impacts of the proposed rezoning, to make sure these factors are given due consideration in the planning process.

While Council plays no decision-making role around the proposed Woollahra Station or the state-led rezoning, our staff will work closely with the Department of Planning, Housing and Infrastructure to put the current and future needs of the Woollahra community at the forefront.

I will continue to keep you updated as we know more. For more information about the changes being proposed, head to our website.

German Cultural Day

What better month for a German Cultural Day than October? This free family-friendly community festival which celebrates German culture in all its diversity is happening this Saturday 18 October, 1-9pm, at Ocean Street, Woollahra, hosted by the Goethe-Institut and proudly supported by our Grants Program.

I’ve been to this event many times and it’s always so much fun. I hope to see you there for bratwurst, beer, pretzels and much more!

Have your say on our Gallery Exhibition Policy

Arts and culture play an important role in contributing to creative, economic and social outcomes for our community. We’re so lucky to have the gorgeous Woollahra Gallery at Redleaf, a collaborative space for all to connect with and be enriched by the arts.

To ensure the Gallery continues to provide outstanding experiences for visitors and best practice support to artists, we’ve reviewed our draft Gallery Exhibition Policy and Fees and Charges.

We are now inviting the community to share their feedback on proposed changes to these documents by 27 October 2025 at Your Say Woollahra.
