About the Talk
Clay, Culture, and Contemporary Practice.
As part of the 2025 Woollahra Small Sculpture Prize program, ceramicist Sassy Park and multidisciplinary artist Ruth Ju-Shih Li will join Curatorial & Programs Assistant Maya Martin-Westheimer for separate 30-minute conversations exploring their work, ideas, and the stories behind their finalist pieces.
Hear directly from the artists as they share their creative processes, influences, and the personal narratives that shape their work. Each session will conclude with time for audience questions.
About the Prize
The 2025 Woollahra Small Sculpture Prize exhibition presetnts a dynamic range of sculptural practice, featuring artists from across Australia and internationally, working across a broad spectrum of materials, forms and conceptual approaches. From quiet, contemplative pieces to bold, materially complex works, this year’s Prize promises to represent the breadth and vitality of contemporary sculpture.
The 2025 judging panel brings together a wealth of expertise and insight: artist and academic Sanné Mestrom; inaugural Ngununggula Gallery Director, Megan Monte; and Head Curator of International Art at the Art Gallery of New South Wales, Justin Paton. Their collective experience will inform a thoughtful, diverse selection.
Visitors are warmly invited to experience the exhibition at Woollahra Gallery at Redleaf and cast their vote in the 2025 Viewer’s Choice Award.
