Woollahra is a place shaped by water, reflecting the theme of this year’s History Week from the History Council of New South Wales.
In this talk, Woollahra’s Local History staff will explore our maritime past and the many ways our community has engaged with the harbour and sea. From Aboriginal connections dating back tens of thousands of years to shipbuilding, seaplanes, and seaside recreation, the presentation will highlight stories that show how deeply water has influenced local life.
Join us for this reflection on history, culture and place, right on the water’s edge.
