Explore timeless questions of truth, beauty, & meaning. We blend philosophy, humour, science, and wisdom to navigate today’s complex world.

Navigating a Complex World: What is True, Beautiful, and Worth Doing?

In an age of rapid change, uncertainty, and moral complexity, how do we make sense of what really matters? This wide-ranging series of talks explores timeless and timely questions through philosophy, humour, science, literature, and lived experience. From the ethics of everyday life to the beauty of the body, from Jewish humour and Gross National Happiness to cognitive bias and hindsight, each session invites fresh thinking on how we perceive the world and our place in it. Join us as we ask—with Socrates, Blake, and today’s thinkers—what it means to live wisely.

If you are interested in history, politics, philosophy and stimulating, thought provoking discussion of complex issues......... this is the course for you.

Dates: 15 October - 17 December 2025 (every Wednesday morning for 10 weeks).

Each week is a new topic so it doesn't matter if you miss a session.

Refreshments included!

Book in for access to all 10 sessions for $150.

This in-person course will be held at the Cultural Hub, Woollahra Gallery at Redleaf.
