Woollahra Council is continuing to monitor the NSW Government and Australian Government’s response to the fuel supply and pricing linked to the conflict in the Middle East.

The National Fuel Security Plan has four levels of action:

  1. Plan and prepare
  2. Keeping Australia moving (current settings)
  3. Taking targeted action
  4. Protecting critical services for all Australians

What’s happening

Fuel supply continues to operate effectively, but localised supply disruptions occur.

What you need to know

  • The Government is taking precautionary actions to shore up fuel supply
  • Only buy the fuel you need. Make voluntary choices to use less and avoid the impact of higher fuel prices.

What Council is doing

We are watching developments closely and we are not considering a reduction in services at this stage. Like many Councils we are lobbying for fuel distribution and supply to be maintained so we can continue to service local residents and businesses.

You can use FuelCheck for daily information on fuel prices and availability across NSW and to report price mismatches at the pump.
