Playing for Resilience

Playshop OC.jpg

Wicked Elephants believe play is a profound practice of resilience, that supports over-all health and wellbeing.

All are welcome to experience this warm-hearted and unique space, to have a conversation on how playfulness can support you with the many demands of life.

This is a 'playshop' to explore and experience a different way of sense-making. One that involves the spirit of play and nonsense to enliven other senses.

In their first Playshop in January, participants reflected on how surprising it was that as a group they were able to connect so warmly and quickly, without having to talk sensibly about a serious topic like resilience. Instead of solemn discussions, you will play with various ways of expressing experiences of resilience.

There will be music, drawing, moving, storytelling, games, and other modes of sense-making. The hosts, Wicked Elephants Company, recognize the power of alternative modes of sense-making that are not always verbal, linear, rational, earnest, and solemn. At the same time being respectful, caring, and connected.
