Vaucluse Library Vending Machine

VendingMachineVaucluse.jpg The Vaucluse Library Vending Machine is located in the entry hallway of the Vaucluse Bowling Club and Community Facility on New South Head Road close to the Vaucluse shopping precinct.

Using your library card or digital card on your mobile device, you can browse, borrow and return books. The Vending Machine offers a specially curated collection of popular fiction, childrens' books and baby and parenting books in an easy to use, self-service cabinet.

What services does the Vending Machine offer?

 

How do I use the Vending Machine?

  • Scan your library membership card or Woollahra Libraries App
  • The cabinet door will open
  • Select books – removed books are automatically checked out to your Library Card
  • Return books – returned books are automatically returned from your Library Card – the bottom two shelves are reserved for returned items.
  • Push the green button to close the door

Do I need to be a Woollahra Libraries member to use the Vending Machine?

  • Yes
  • If you are not already a member, you can join for free today

What is the loan period?

  • 3 weeks with 2 renewals unless the item is on reserve for another member.

Will I receive a printed receipt?

Yes

Can items borrowed from other Woollahra Libraries be returned to the Machine?

  • Any print item can be returned in the machine (books, magazines)
  • Library of Things items like STEM Kits, video games, and tech items CANNOT be returned here; they must be returned to a staff member at Woollahra Library at Double Bay, Paddington Library or Watsons Bay Library

 

What happens if the returns shelves are at capacity?

Items can be returned at other Libraries or our returns chute located in the Wilberforce Street Carpark in Rose Bay
