HSC Support: Free tutoring, extended hours, massages & more

Whether you're just getting started or counting down to the exams, Woollahra Libraries is here to help with a free program of HSC support.

Free Tutoring

Every Wednesday from 8 July to 5 August, students can drop in for free tutoring in English and Mathematics with experienced HSC tutors. Bring along your questions, work through tricky problems or get help structuring extended responses in a relaxed, supportive environment. No bookings are required.

Extended Opening Hours

To support students through the busiest part of the HSC year, Woollahra Library at Double Bay will have extended opening hours from Monday 20 July to Thursday 20 August, and again from Monday 28 September to Thursday 5 November. The library will remain open until 9pm, Monday to Thursday, and until 5pm on weekends (no change to Fridays), giving students more time to study, access library resources and even recharge with complimentary mini hand massages.

HSC Help

Your Woollahra Library card also gives you free access to online study resources. Connect with qualified tutors through Studiosity for live help and writing feedback, or explore Drama Online, with thousands of plays, audio performances and Royal Shakespeare Company productions to support English and Drama studies.

Our collection includes books that can help you with your HSC and IB study, time management and essay skills. We hold large collections of English texts and crib notes. Our collection also includes series such as Excel, Macmillan, Studymate and Cambridge CheckPoint.

We also have online databases with full text articles, and abstracts available remotely and in the library.
