Be part of this term’s project challenge over 8 weekly sessions creating creatures that move and interact with their environment.

This term’s Code Club design project focuses on creating creatures that move and interact with their environment. Across eight weeks, participants will work with Scratch, micro:bits, servos, LEDs, LEGO and a range of moving parts to design and build creatures for a collaborative Nature Trail display.

Sessions are supported by library staff and volunteer industry professionals, with activities building progressively from week to week. This is an eight week commitment, and each session builds on the previous one. Participants are asked to register only if they are able to attend all sessions, or are willing to catch up on missed work if absent.

If you are unable to attend a session, please notify library staff so that places can be offered to children on the waitlist.

Due to the popularity of Code Club, library laptops may not always be available for every participant. Children are encouraged to bring their own fully charged laptop where possible. If not, they may be asked to share a device.

Parents and carers are required to remain onsite for the duration of the session. Please let staff know in advance if your child has any additional learning needs so support can be provided.
