Join us for a free one-hour workshop on respect and belonging.

Our Place, Our Woollahra is hosting this free one-hour community workshop on respect and belonging for people who live, work or volunteer in the Woollahra area. Come as you are, ready to listen and happy to share. Every background belongs.

Everyone is welcome. No experience needed. For neighbours, families, new arrivals and long-time locals.

What to expect

  • Listen. Hear everyday stories from across our community, opening with a Welcome from a local First Nations Elder.
  • Connect. Meet and talk with people of all backgrounds, with respect and ease. You’re welcome to share your own thoughts and experiences, and just as welcome to listen.
  • Act. Take home small, practical ways to help everyone belong in your everyday life in Woollahra.

Opening our session
We’re honoured to open with Aunty Lola Ryan, a proud Dharawal Elder from La Perouse, who will share her perspective on what belonging means in Woollahra — including connection to Country and place. Supported by Gujaga Foundation.

We’re also joined by guest speaker Phoebe Mwanza, Head of Education at Diversity Council Australia and a former human rights and anti-discrimination lawyer, on respect, belonging, and everyday ways we can all help our community feel more connected.

Morning tea provided + tea and coffee.

Proudly supported by Woollahra Council. In partnership with Holdsworth
