Top things to do this Spring

Spring is one of the best seasons in Woollahra. The temperature is just right, the crowds haven’t arrived yet and the flowers and trees are blooming.

Here are our suggestions for what to do in our local area during this glorious time of year.

Admire our jacarandas

Our local area is even more beautiful at this time of year as jacarandas paint the streets purple. An iconic part of our landscape, these beauties bloom for only a few weeks each year – so get your cameras out before they are gone again!

Visit a local market

Make the most of the balmy spring weather and visit one of our local markets.

The Double Bay Market is held in Guilfoyle Park, Double Bay every Thursday from 8am-2pm. It’s a great spot for a cheap and cheerful lunch, or for your weekly fruit and veg shop.

The famous Paddington Markets are back on every Saturday from 10am-4pm at the Paddington Uniting Church on Oxford St. These markets are famous for their fashion, jewellery and craft stalls, and they now also feature a fresh produce market!

Go for a stroll along the Coastal Cliff Walk

Vaucluse boasts some of the best views in Sydney – one of the best ways to enjoy the breathtaking scenery is to walk along the Coastal Cliff Walk from Gap Park to Christison Park,

Visit the Woollahra Gallery at Redleaf

If you haven't yet visited our Woollahra Gallery at Redleaf, Spring is the perfect time to drop in. The gallery must be one of the most scenic, situated in picturesque Blackburn Gardens overlooking Sydney Harbour.

Make a day of it and stay a while. After admiring the latest gallery exhibition, have a swim at Murray Rose Pool, leap from the pontoons, visit the beachside café or picnic in the gardens

The gallery is open Wednesday - Friday: 10am-6pm, Saturday and Sunday: 10am-5pm. Admission is free.

Enjoy some quality time with your doggo at the Rose Bay Foreshore

The Rose Bay Foreshore is a favourite spot amongst our local four-legged friends. Enjoy a morning or afternoon with your pup and watch them swim, run and jump to their hearts content.

Just remember to put your pooch back on a leash when leaving the area (the off leash area is between Dumaresq Reserve and Percival Park) and BYO dog poo bags. Read more about walking your dog in Woollahra.
