The theme for this year’s National Child Protection Week (6-12 September 2026) is "Every Conversation Matters, Shifting Conversation to Action," driving a stronger focus on shifting conversations into meaningful action.
Conversations can spark ideas, build understanding and encourage reflection. But meaningful change happens when those conversations lead to practical action that strengthens support for children and families.
National Child Protection Week helps turn conversation into action by bringing communities together to share ideas, strengthen communities and prevent harm before it occurs.
Keeping kids safe is a shared responsibility and we all have a role to play. If you see something, say something.
At Council, we have zero tolerance of child abuse and a steadfast commitment to being a child safe organisation. Read more about Woollahra Council’s commitment to being a Child Safe organisation.
Our website lists local support services for families, as well as online resources which can be accessed anywhere, anytime. Woollahra Libraries also has a range of resources available for loan for both kids and adults.
