Celebrate with us at Paddington Library

Book in to help us celebrate a significant milestone as Paddington Library is turning 130.

Library and community members are invited to a special birthday event on Sunday 15 May, featuring a kids’ scavenger hunt, live music, 3D printing demonstration, robotics and VR experiences, local history activities and information and of course, cake!

The birthday party is a free event and will run from 10am - 4pm at Paddington Library, 247 Oxford Street, Paddington. For more information, visit our website or contact our Library staff on 9391 7988 or at: library@woollahra.nsw.gov.au.

Rose Bay upgrade

In some fantastic news for Rose Bay, Woollahra Council has received a $480,000 grant to upgrade the laneways, streets and carparks on both sides of New South Head Road as part of the NSW Government’s Streets as Shared Spaces program.

The funding will enable us increase foot traffic and accessibility, support small businesses and make Rose Bay an even better place to live, work and visit.

Flying the flag to raise awareness

Next Tuesday 17 May is the International Day Against Homophobia, Transphobia, Biphobia and Interphobia (IDAHOBIT).

Woollahra Council has a longstanding commitment to supporting our LGBTQIA+ community. We will be proudly flying the Progress Pride Flag at Council Chambers in Double Bay on the day to reflect the vibrancy and diversity of our area, to acknowledge the challenges and discrimination experienced by many in the LGBTQIA+ community, to recognise the important work done globally towards eradicating such phobias and also to raise awareness of the work still needed to combat such discrimination.
