Applications open for 2021 Grants

Do you have a great idea for a project that will enhance our local area?

Applications for our Environmental and Community and Cultural Grants Programs are now open. Eligible community groups, schools and individuals may apply for up to $7,500 in funding for projects that help to build social connections, encourage creativity and increase sustainability.

I am looking forward to seeing more great submissions from across the Woollahra community such as McAuley Catholic Primary School Rose Bay’s idea to create an outdoor learning space with bird habitat, frog pond and native bees, which is now thriving after winning a grant last year.

Applications close on 16 May. For more information visit 2021 Grants Program.

The first 100 Woollahra residents, businesses, schools and community organisations to register will receive four free seed packs, plus growing tips and tricks including access to fortnightly live online workshops from gardening experts including Costa Georgiadis and Paul West. Have your say on Double Bay Wharf upgrade

The NSW Government is proposing to upgrade Double Bay Wharf with a more accessible design including a new dual-sided floating pontoon to improve the efficiency and safety for ferries to pick-up and drop-off passengers, a covered waiting area and also berths for recreational boats.

Community views on the proposed concept design and options for minimising disruption during its construction phase are welcomed until 5 May.
