School holiday summer fun with Woollahra Council

The Woollahra Council events calendar is jam packed with fun activities for the 2017/2018 summer holidays.

Kids of all ages will be kept busy with the summer reading club, bush tucker walks, and the ever popular Summerama program run by the Sydney Coastal Councils Group.

‘Summerama’

Snorkelling Discovery Tour

Find out what’s beneath the beautiful waters of Camp Cove on this award-winning guided snorkelling adventure. The cost is $10 per person. These tours will book out quickly!

Rockpool Ramble

Discover the amazing marine life in the rock pools of Bottle and Glass Rocks in Nielsen Park, Vaucluse. This popular guided tour is hosted by marine biologists and the cost is $5/person.

Tuesday 16 January, 2:00pm–4:00pm

Bush Tucker Walks

These award winning and FREE guided walks take place in and around Nielsen Park, Vaucluse. You’ll learn about the environment and the foods in the area prior to European settlement, find out about the Aboriginal cultural significance of various sites and enjoy some delicious bush tucker treats.

Summer Reading Club

Friday 1 December 2017 – Wednesday 31 January 2018

This year’s Summer Reading Club theme, Game On, is an invitation to celebrate our Aussie sporting culture, team-mateship and the countries who will be participating in the 2018 Commonwealth Games. Open to all kids aged 0-16,registration packs are available from your nearest Woollahra Libraries service point and contain information on how to log all the books you read. The more you read the more chance you have to win!

The book fair is a fantastic opportunity to buy an eclectic range of second hand books from our impressive collection.
