Congratulations to the winners of the 2019 Woollahra Garden Awards.

Mayor of Woollahra Councillor Susan Wynne was delighted to recognise local gardens and passionate ‘green thumbs’ that connect members of the community who share a love of gardening.

The winners are:

Best Community/School Garden: Cooper Park Community Garden

Highly Commended: Rose Bay Community Garden

Best Sustainable Garden: Derby Street Community Project.

Best Small Garden: Samuel Harvey, Edgecliff Road, Woollahra

Highly Commended: Naomi Shaw, Streatfield Road, Bellevue Hill

Best Large Garden: St Marks Anglican Church Memorial Garden, Darling Point

Overall Winner of the Best Garden: Samuel Harvey, Edgecliff Road, Woollahra.

The winning garden was designed by the owner to meet the family’s needs. The garden incorporates native plants, a reading space, a bbq area and play area for his children.
Judges' comments “It is a wonderfully designed garden which makes the most of the small space with the garden flowing seamlessly from the home.”

Special thanks to the judges - former Mayor of Woollahra Councillor Peter M Cavanagh, Diana Fisher OAM and Indira Naidoo.
