Small businesses are a vital part of our community and we know they’ve been hit hard during the pandemic.

October is Small Business Month, let’s all support our small businesses by shopping and dining locally. Council is also offering a range of supports to small business owners – including grants, webinars and support with sustainability initiatives – to help them get back on their feet.

30 minute free parking for metered spaces in the Paddington and Double Bay commercial centres was also introduced this month to make it easier for everyone to shop local.

Mayor Susan Wynne recently caught up with some small businesses in our local area.

“We are keen to continue the support we have already offered to small businesses, and this starts with finding out their priorities which will help inform our response,” the Mayor said.
