Even though we cannot run our regular school holiday activities in our Libraries, we have made a School Holiday Fun - Home Edition activity guide.

Download the guide for some ideas to keep the children entertained during the school holidays.

Library resources at home

Digital storytime

Are your kids missing our library Storytimes? Our Story Times are now digital.

Visit our digital storytime page to hear some great stories and sing rhymes about bears, bugs, dogs and the weather. More videos to come so watch this space.

Story Box Library and TumbleBooks

For more online stories, you can use your library membership to access Story Box Library. View stories by local authors and illustrators, read aloud by Australian and New Zealand storytellers.

Story Box also offers families a wide variety of Activity Times. The activity sheets are categorised into different themes including play and games, art and creativity, outdoor play, cooking, exploring and experimenting, writing and craft.

Another online library of resources for children is TumbleBooks with a great range including story books, read alongs, graphic novels, language learning, National Geographic videos and games.

Disney eAudiobooks

Re-create the movie magic of the most beloved Disney films with this great range of Disney eAudiobooks – new to Bolinda and the BorrowBox app!

Fantastic adventures are just the beginning with this great range of titles including classics like Aladdin, favourites including Finding Nemo and new releases such as Frozen II.

Grow Your Own - Gardening Webinars

Join our free online organic gardening course to learn how to grow food at home. This family friendly course could be the beginning of a school holiday project. This series is brought to you by the Environment and Sustainability team of Council.

The 5 course topics are: making a garden bed, planting out, composting and worm farming, managing pests and harvesting and ongoing care.
