Recycle it Saturday
Don't just throw out your old and unwanted stuff - bring it to our drive-in, drop-off Recycle It Saturday event this Saturday 26 November at Alexandra Canal Depot and we'll recycle it for you. Every item you drop off is a valuable resource diverted from landfill that can be given a second life. For detailed information about what you can and can’t bring, please visit Recycle problem waste.
Powering Wentworth to Net Zero
I am so proud of Woollahra Council’s status as a carbon neutral organisation, but there is still so much more work to be done as a community to help reach Net Zero emissions.
I encourage you to head to Powering Wentworth to Net Zero this Sunday 27 November at Bondi Pavilion, a free family-friendly event organised by Member for Wentworth Allegra Spender and supported by Woollahra Council, where you will hear from local and industry experts as we analyse where Wentworth’s emissions come from and explore the technologies, products and lifestyle changes needed to reduce our individual impact and collectively respond to the climate emergency. Visit Allegra Spender events for more info.
One great way of helping to reduce your own emissions is through the use of electric vehicles. Through our Environmental Grants program, Council is supporting Rose Bay Rotary to host the Understanding EV Charging for Apartments workshop on 29 November. Head along to hear from industry experts on transitioning to EV charging in your building. Visit Woollahra events to register.
