Discover One Bright Pearl in Blackburn Gardens

If you’re visiting Murray Rose Pool for a dip during summer, make sure to stop by to check our new sculpture One Bright Pearl, located right next door in Blackburn Gardens, outside the Woollahra Gallery at Redleaf.

Created by internationally renowned artist Lindy Lee, the work is a 260kg mirror-polished stainless steel sculpture reflects on new beginnings and modern migration, and is symbolic of the diversity of our community. By day, the work absorbs and reflects its surrounds, while it’s also extremely striking at night thanks to internal lighting.

It was selected by Woollahra Council’s Public Art Panel and is the most significant commission by Woollahra Council, with principal support from The Carla Zampatti Foundation and other commission donors.

You can learn more about the sculpture and our growing public art portfolio, with works located across the Woollahra LGA at Arts and Culture.
