OPEN UNTIL 13 MAY

People of Rose Bay, a FREE open-air portrait photography exhibition hosted by Woollahra Council, showcases the faces and stories behind Rose Bay businesses.

They hand us our coffees with a smile and and share a joke as we pick out some flowers or get our hair trimmed. They've endured harsh COVID hardships and survived. These are the iconic people who bring the Rose Bay commercial centre to life. And now they are being celebrated in a unique portrait exhibition, launching on Thursday 28 April.

People of Rose Bay is designed to connect our community to the iconic people and stories behind Rose Bay businesses.

The featured portraits of local business owners are installed in multiple locations around Rose Bay Centre (Newcastle St, Dover Rd and the New South Head Road laneways) enabling the public to enjoy the exhibition through lane-ways, parks, streets, footpaths and shopfronts.

The experience is interactive, with each portrait containing a QR code that links the viewer back to the businesses, their stories, special offers, competitions and more.

The portraits will remain in place for public viewing until 13 May 2022.

People of Rose Bay is supported by the NSW Department of Planning, Industry and Environment as part of the Festival of Place Summer Night Fund.
