About the Prize

This annual competition, celebrating 25 years in 2018, is open to local high school students, or high school students living in the local government area. $2,500 worth of prizes will be awarded to this years' winning students.

The Youth Photographic Award and Short Film Prize started in 1994 to provide an opportunity for local high school students to showcase all the great creative talents of young photographers and filmmakers.

Through its 25 year history, Council has exhibited the works of many talented high school students and given the public an opportunity to view these inventive and extraordinary images and films.
