National Novel Writing Month
We invite you to take part in National Novel Writing Month - also known as NaNoWriMo. It's a free, global writing program that challenges participants to write a 50,000 word novel during the month of November. It’s open to anyone over the age of 17 who has ever dreamed of writing a novel – or just likes a challenge.
In the lead up to November, we're holding free monthly workshops designed to help writers prepare for the 50,000 word challenge. Topics range from research to editing, led by seasoned writers and experts.
We've also set up online forums and encourage you join the discussion - chat with other writers, brainstorm ideas, exchange helpful tips and ask questions.
Our support continues into November - when the NaNoWriMo challenge officially begins. Participants can write from any location - in the privacy of their homes, on public transport, in busy cafes or at their local library. That’s where we come (write) in!
Come Write In Spaces
Throughout November these Woollahra Libraries spaces will be provided as a place to write your novel. We are helping connect libraries to local NaNoWriMo participants and creating a supportive writing community during the process. Come gather, write and brainstorm.
