Tech Savvy Seniors: Introduction to Online Shopping & the Cloud

Throughout the month of June, we will be collecting donations for Lismore Library at all Woollahra Libraries events. Lismore Library was badly affected by the recent floods which devastated the Northern Rivers area in NSW. The library building was severely damaged, resulting in the loss of an estimated 30,000 books, DVDs and other items. To contribute, look for the cash donation box at the next event you attend at our libraries at Double Bay, Paddington and Watsons Bay.

In this workshop you will learn the basics of online shopping, whether you want to book a holiday or buy groceries. We’ll walk you through the process of buying something online, and you will also learn how to stay safe online whilst doing so.

You will also receive an introduction to storing your documents, photos and entertainment on the cloud. What is the cloud? How does it help you backup your computer?

This program is a partnership between Woollahra Libraries, NSW Government, Telstra and the State Library of NSW. A laptop will be provided for the duration of the workshop.
