Local businesses and community groups within the municipality can promote your community event on Council's free events calendar.
Promote your event with a canvas banner at one of two locations. Subject to space availability and suitability (community events supported by Council through our grants program, inclusive, free events that promote community connection).

REELise Film Festival - Entry open 6 March to 14 May 2023
Monday 20 March 2023, 9:00am-11:00pm (Every day, until 14 May 2023)
The REELise Film Festival, hosted by local youth charity REELise, is inviting entries from student filmmakers (10-18yrs) of short pocket films.
Designed specifically to support and showcase the talents of young people, the Festival screens content with an underlying social message tied to an annual competition theme.
Finalists' films will be screened at VMAX at Event Cinemas in Bondi Junction and are livestreamed for a national and international viewing audience.
Prizes include cash, filmmaking equipment and industry experiences.
All films must be shot on a smartphone or tablet, be 5 minutes or less including credits, be suitable for a general viewing audience; and explore the 2023 competition theme “footprint”. Entry closes 14 May 2023.
