Recycle It Saturday
18 Feb. 2023 9:00 am - 3:00 pmSaturday 18 February 2023, 9:00am-3:00pm
Alexandra Canal Depot, 67C Bourke Rd, Alexandria
Woollahra Council has joined with City of Sydney and Waverley Councils to host "Recycle it Saturday" - a drive in, drop off event where you can bring a range of items for recycling that can't go in your recycling bin at home.
Acceptable items include good quality clothes and toys, light globes, household and car batteries, gas cylinders, polystyrene, bulky cardboard, X-rays, and used printer cartridges.
Every item you drop off is a valuable resource diverted from landfill that can be given a second life. For detailed information about what to bring, please visit Problem Waste.
Regrettably, we are no longer able to accept soft plastics, including bread bags, chip packets and food wrappers, at our Recycle It Saturday drop off events. The company who was processing the soft plastics collected at Recycle It Saturday recently notified council they have reached capacity and can no longer take household soft plastics. They are unsure when this will change. Residents should dispose of their soft plastics in their red-lid bin.
