Expired Marine Flare Disposal

30 Nov. 2020 12:00 pm - 1:30 pmMonday 30 November 2020, 12:00pm-1:30pm

Rose Bay Boat Ramp, Rose Bay

Most flares have a use-by date of 3 years and they must be replaced before the expiry date. Flares contain explosive matter which makes safe and legal disposal difficult.

The NSW Government Expired Marine Flare Collection Program provides the boating community with an opportunity to safely dispose of their out of date flares.

Collection for the 2020-2021 boating season starts on 20 November and runs until 18 April at 46 locations along the coast from Tweed Heads to Eden.

The collection point for the Woollahra LGA is Rose Bay Boat Ramp. Collection dates:
Monday, 30 November 2020, 12:00pm - 1:30pm
Sunday, 17 January 2021, 12:00pm - 1:30pm
Sunday, 11 April 2021, 12:00pm - 1:30pm
