In This Section

Summary

Woollahra Council invites your feedback on the proposed draft amendment to Chapter B3 General Development Controls of the Woollahra Development Control Plan 2015.

The amendment inserts a new section called B3.5.5 – Internal amenity to ensure that habitable rooms in a dwelling, particularly rooms that are located below natural ground level, have high levels of indoor amenity for the health and well-being of residents.

These controls were previously exhibited and re-exhibition is occurring to clarify that the proposed amendments apply to all indoor habitable spaces in dwellings, including subterranean rooms.

Submissions already made will be taken into account. Submissions to this re-exhibition will also be taken into account.

The re-exhibition will run from Wednesday 26 September 2018 – Friday 26 October 2018.

Details of proposed amendment

The proposed Draft Woollahra Development Control Plan 2015 (Amendment No 3) seeks to:

  • Insert corresponding provisions into Part A: Introduction and Administration to appropriately give effect to the amendment.

The objectives of the proposed Draft Woollahra Development Control Plan 2015 (Amendment No 3) are to:

  • ensure that rooms in a dwelling, particularly rooms that are located below natural ground level have high levels of indoor residential amenity for the health and well-being of residents and visitors,
