Council and Committee Meetings - Important Update Special Instructions (during COVID-19)
Woollahra Council will be webcasting Council (i.e. Ordinary and Extraordinary) and Committee meetings (i.e. Environmental Planning (EP), Finance, Community & Services (FC&S) and Strategic & Corporate (S&C) (until further notice).
A decision has been made for The Mayor, Councillors and staff to participate in meetings in person.
Please note due to spacing restrictions, there is insufficient room for members of the public to attend in person at this point in time. Members of the public are invited to watch and/or listen to Council meetings live via Council's website.
If registering to address the Committee Meetings, members of the public must register by 10.00am on the day of the meeting by emailing records@woollahra.nsw.gov.au. Public participation will be managed in accordance with meeting procedures.
Council and Committee Meetings will be webcast and members of the public can watch and listen to meetings live (via Council’s website).
An audio recording of Council and Committee meetings will be uploaded to Council’s website by 5.00pm on the next business day.

People connecting to this meeting by conferencing technology or teleconference are reminded that under the Local Government Act 1993, the recording of meetings by a member of the public using any electronic recording device including a mobile phone or video camera is not permitted. Any person found recording without the permission of Council may be expelled from the meeting.
The recording of each meeting will be retained on Council’s website for a minimum period of 6 months. After that period has passed, recordings of meetings may be disposed of in accordance with the State Records Act 1998.
Meeting details and procedure - COVID-19
The Strategic & Corporate Committee (S&C) deals with issues that have an impact on the whole of Council, including major development applications.
There are no set dates for meetings. The meetings normally commence at 6pm.
Amendments have been made to the Local Government Act 1993 to allow councils to meet remotely to reduce the risk of COVID-19 and ensure compliance with the Public Health Order.
In line with social distancing requirements to limit the spread of the COVID-19 virus Woollahra Council will be holding Strategic & Corporate (SC) Committee meetings remotely using conferencing technology (until further notice).
The Mayor, Councillors and staff will be participating in meetings by an audio-visual link instead of attending in person. Meetings will be webcast and member of the public can watch and listen to meetings live (via YouTube) or dial in to listen to the meetings using a telephone.
Members of the public are invited to listen to meetings by either using conferencing technology or by teleconference. Public participation online or by phone will be managed in accordance with meeting procedures.

Members of the public may submit late written correspondence on an agenda item being considered at the Committee meeting. If you wish to make a written submission on an item on the agenda, please email your submission to records@woollahra.nsw.gov.au by 12noon on the day of the meeting.
Once registered to address the meeting or address the Committee, we will provide you with a link, phone number and code to enable you to join the teleconference on the day of the meeting. This will be emailed to you on the day of the meeting.

As the S&C Committee considers issues that have an impact on the whole of Council, it has no delegation to determine any matters. For this reason all reports on the S&C Agenda will be "R" (for Recommendation) items. The agenda and individual reports for each meeting are available from 3pm on the Thursday before the meeting from the following location:
