Woollahra Women is a growing network of women living, working or connected to the Woollahra Municipality.

Through a series of curated events Woollahra Women will enable community members to share knowledge and support each other while building networks and connections. Woollahra Women have mentored each other through a series of informal breakfast meetings, one facilitated by Renee Mill, Clinical Psychologist and one by Robyn Katz, Feminine Leadership Facilitator from Talk Point and Vanessa Alexander, Community Building and Transformation Specialist from Transforming Talk.

Each year we celebrate this network on International Women’s Day. This year it was attended by over 100 women. Welcomed by Mayor Susan Wynne, our keynote speaker Cindy Carpenter, a long time Woollahra resident, strategic consultant and social entrepreneur shared her knowledge and insights in supporting a range of organisations to create equal opportunity for girls and women.

International Women’s Day 2019 welcomed approximately 120 community members who attended a panel discussion ‘What Every Women Should Know’ and over 80 speed mentoring sessions with female leaders in the community, including Helen Argiris; Professor Jill Bennet; Toni Cody; The Hon. Helen Coonan; Cr Claudia Cullen; Jane Flemming OAM; Wendy Holdenson; Cr Mary-Lou Jarvis - Deputy Mayor Woollahra Council; Alexandra Joel; Dr Ginni Mansberg; Elizabeth Meryment; Cr Megan McEwin; Lulu Pinkus; Cr Harriet Price; Cr Lucinda Regan; Jessica Rowe; Dr Gene Sherman AM; Cr Susan Wynne; and Claire Vernon.

Woollahra Women will continue to connect and inspire via a series of online discussions based on a range of subjects pertinent to our lives. These talks will be held on the last Friday of each month and attendees will be invited to both submit questions prior to the event and as a response to the discussion.

All attendees of past events will be notified to attend this series. If you would like to join the mailing list, please contact us on the details below.
