A number of Bush Tucker events take place every year in the Woollahra Municipality. The events are hosted by Terry Lennis and supported by Woollahra Council.
These events are:
- Bush Tucker Brunch - at this event participants can try a selection of bush tucker treats such as lemon myrtle and wattle seed pikelets, wattle seed damper, warrigal green pesto and a selection of jams and biscuits.
- Bush Tucker Walks - These award winning guided walks take place in and around Nielsen Park, incorporating Aboriginal culture and education, while participants enjoy bush tucker tasting treats along the way.The Bush Tucker events are suitable for people of all ages, however there are steps involved in the walks. The Bush Tucker Walks take place each month from October to March.
The next event will be held in October 2018 in Nielsen Park, Greycliffe Avenue, Vaucluse.
The Bush Tucker Man has put together a document with a list of local native plants, some which you will see on your walk! Download your copy below - you might like to print it out to bring on the walk.

What others say about the Bush Tucker Walks:
I just wanted to let you know how informative, interesting and fun I found the bush tucker walk on Saturday morning.
The bush tucker tasting was great - actually very nice food (I'd expected grubs!) and a great location on a rock overlooking the harbour.
