McKell Park

McKell Park is on the shores of Sydney Harbour with views of the Sydney Harbour Bridge to the west and Sydney Heads to the east. It is a great vantage point to view Sydney Harbour activities.

The park comprises grassed landscape terraces stepping down to the harbour foreshore and the public ferry wharf. It is often used for wedding ceremonies as it has superb harbour views and manicured gardens surrounded by magnificent mature trees. The heritage listed Canonbury Cottage is the centrepiece of the park.

Booking Information

Wedding bookings shall not exceed 2 hours.
Social bookings shall not exceed 4 hours.
Weddings and private social events are restricted to less than 100 people.
A maximum of 2 bookings permitted per day (i.e only 1 booking permitted at any given time).
An event bond of $250 is applicable for all wedding ceremonies and large social functions at McKell Park, and for weekend use of Canonbury Cottage.

Restrictions

No marquees or wedding arches are permitted in association with the use of the park.
The park is closed in the evenings except for New Year's Eve celebrations.
Amusement devices such as jumping castles, petting zoos, kindy farms or pony rides.
